Beginner

Ingredients

  • 5 - 8 large strawberries (fresh or frozen), sliced

  • 1 cup of raspberries (fresh or frozen)

  • 2 grapefruits or oranges, sliced

  • 1/2 cup of sugar

  • 1 lemon, juiced

  • 1/4 cup of brandy

  • 1 (750 ml) bottle of dry rose, chilled

  • 2 cups of club soda

  • Fresh mint, for garnish

  • Ice, optional

Preparation

  1. In a large pitcher, add the sliced grapefruit, oranges and strawberries along with the raspberries. Sprinkle the sugar on top of the fruit and let macerate for 20 to 30 minutes. Most sangrias are made the night before so the flavors can marinate, but today we're letting the fruit macerated in sugar to draw out the flavor and speed things up.

  2. Squeeze the juice from one lemon into the pitcher, and add the brandy. Stir well to finish dissolving the sugar.

  3. Pour a bottle of rosé wine and the club soda into the pitcher. Stir well. Cover and refrigerate or serve over ice.
